Terms & Conditions

Terms and conditions are given below for (A) Boarding and (B) Training.

Please read the following details carefully to understand our policies and procedures.

 

You, your refers to the dog owner, dog handler requesting and using services at The K9 Pad.

Us, our refers to The K9 Pad and its staff members.​​

(A) Terms and Conditions for Boarding with The K9 Pad

A1. Booking details

All information provided at the time of booking must be accurate and up-to-date .  It is your responsibility to ensure that any changes to contact details or other relevant information are communicated to The K9 Pad.

A2. Emergency protocol

In the event of an emergency that prevents boarding from continuing your designated emergency contact must be prepared to facilitate alternative arrangements for your dog.

​

A3. Early collection policy

Should you collect your dog before the scheduled end date of your booking, no refund will be issued for the remaining days.

​

A4. Dog control

You are responsible for keeping your dog on a lead and under control while on The K9 Pad premises prior to hand-over to our team for boarding and after hand-back to you at the end of boarding.  This is to ensure the safety of all dogs, customers and staff members.

A5. Supply of food

You must provide sufficient food for your dog for the duration of their stay with us.  You are advised to provide some additional food in case your dog is more active than usual whilst in the kennel environment.

A6. Uncollected dogs

If you or your designated emergency contact have not collected your dog(s) within 2 weeks of the agreed collection date and all attempts by us to contact you and your emergency contact to expedite collection have been unsuccessful, we reserve the right to consider the dog(s) abandoned.  Consequently, the dog(s) may be put up for re-homing or surrendered to the local dog warden.  You will remain liable for any costs incurred for additional days your dog(s) remain in our care.

A7. Right to refuse service

We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer at our discretion.

A8. Responsibility for damages

You are fully responsible for any damages caused by your dog during their stay with us, whether to our staff, themselves, other dogs or property.

A9. Veterinary costs

You are liable for all veterinary bills incurred during your dog's stay with us.  This includes any medical emergencies that may arise.

A10. Deposit policy

A 10% non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required from you on acceptance of your booking by us.

​

A11. Cancellation policy

  • Cancellations made within 31 days of the start of your booking will incur a fee of 25% of the total cost.

  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the start of your booking will incur a fee of 50% of the total cost.

  • Cancellations made within 2 days of the start of your booking will incur a fee of 90% of the total cost.

A12. Arrival at The K9 Pad

We kindly ask that you arrive at The K9 Pad no more than 15 minutes before the agreed drop-off time/pick-up time.

(B) Terms and Conditions for Training with The K9 Pad

​

B1. Dog Safety and Responsibility

  • You are fully responsible for the safety and wellbeing of your dog throughout the training session.

  • Any damage caused to people or property by your dog is your sole responsibility. Please ensure your pet is controlled and supervised at all times.

B2. Medical Suitability

Assessing the medical suitability of the sessions for your dog and yourself  is your responsibility. If you have any concerns, please discuss them directly with us beforehand. Ensure you and your dog are in good health, and please inform your designated member of staff of any medical conditions that may affect training.

B3. Equipment Maintenance

It is your obligation to maintain all of your own equipment during the session. Please ensure all equipment is safe and suitable for use to prevent accidents or injuries.

B4. Arrival at The K9 Pad

We kindly ask that you arrive at The K9 Pad no more than 15 minutes before the start of your training session.

B5. Rescheduling

  • If you need to reschedule a session, please contact us as soon as possible.

  • There will be no charge if you need to reschedule a training session at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time.  We reserve the right to apply a 50% session fee charge for persistent short notice rescheduling.

  • If you need to reschedule a training session within 24 hours of the scheduled time, 100% of the session fee  becomes payable.  You may, at the discretion of The K9 Pad, be suspended without notice from further bookings until payment is made.​​​​

B6. Late arrival

  • Please ensure you arrive on time for your session or appointment.  Arriving late might result in a shortened session to accommodate for other clients or extra charges for out of hours/extended services

  • Please contact us if you are running late.

  • Do not attend after the scheduled end time of your session.

B7. Cancellations

  • If you need to cancel a session, please contact us as soon as possible.

  • If you cancel your session within 24 hours of your scheduled session, 100% of the session fee will become payable, You may, at the discretion of The K9 Pad, be suspended without notice from further bookings until payment is made.

  • The K9 Pad reserves the right to request full payment up front for any sessions in the event of persistent cancellation/rescheduling.

B8. Payment

  • Payments can be made in cash or you can contact us prior to the session to arrange a bank transfer or electronic invoice.

​

B9. Filming and Photography ​

  • Filming and photography during sessions are strictly prohibited unless prior approval is obtained directly from The K9 Pad trainers, regardless of any previous permissions. Please seek permission before your session if you wish to capture any media.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​.

B10. Weather Conditions Policy

  • In the event of adverse weather conditions, such as a Met Office red weather warning or if The K9 Pad determines the conditions to be unsuitable for safe training, sessions will be rescheduled/refunded as appropriate.  

  • The final decision regarding the suitability of weather conditions for training will rest solely with The K9 Pad.

B11. Group Sessions

  • You must have attended an assessment prior to joining a group session.

  • Please be respectful of others' training.

  • Your dog must remain in your vehicle while others train unless asked otherwise.

  • Spectators must have permission before attending.

  • Check the group WhatsApp or your emails including the junk folder before attending for any changes to the session, including time or location.

  • Do not post any photos or videos on social media unless you have permission from other attendees and/or their dogs captured in them.  The prior specified rules for recording (item B9 above) still apply.

  • Please be aware the displayed duration of service is an estimate which is subject to variation based on group size and the individual dogs participating.

  • Any damage caused to people or property by your dog is your sole responsibility. Please ensure your pet is controlled and supervised at all times.
